Smartflow quick couplings
The Smartflow dry-break couplings are aimed to aid safe, efficient and environmentally friendly transfer of fluids in safety critical, aggressive environments. Spill-Free connections and disconnections with minimal parts and no additional valves required, can save both time and money.

Efficiency and reliability for fluid applications
Smartflow specialist couplings meet the challenges and solve problems for many industries worldwide: Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Food & Beverage, Road & Rail, Marine and Aviation. Common application examples include Adblue distribution, road and rail tankers, offshore applications, marine bunkering and IBC filling. These couplings are used anywhere where spillages need to be minimised or fluid transfer efficiency maximised.
All Smartflow Couplings regardless of size or material are rated to 25 Bar Working Pressure with the required 5x Safety Factor. This is unique to the industry and allows customers to select a Smartflow aluminium unit to replace a competitor stainless steel version if the application requires higher pressure but would prefer the lighter, lower-cost option.
Following TEAM SPEC and STANAG 3756 standards, the Smartflow dry break couplings are interchangeable with other manufacturers in the industry.
Additionally, Smartflow couplings come with different o-ring options, including FDA-approved o-rings, to meet the stringent safety and hygiene standards required for use within food and beverage production.
4 reasons to choose Smartflow
-
Efficiency and productivity
No spills or waste as well as reduced downtime can be a huge benefit to process industries
-
Cost savings
Cutting out waste from spillages could result in a big improvement in the bottom line
-
Health and safety
Eliminating spillages of hazardous fluids comes with obvious H&S benefits to the operator
-
Environmental
The key advantage of a spill-free system is to prevent any environmental contamination with hazardous fluids.
Connect and disconnect in 4 simple steps
The couplings use a simple integrated poppet system, that activates as the female (Hose) unit is connected to the male (Tank) unit.
As the female coupling easily fits over the male adaptor, it is then twisted clockwise a 1/3 of a turn and locks in place - opening the integrated poppets in both halves and releasing the flow. The reverse anti-clockwise turn will unlock the couplings and instantly shut off the flow with zero (well very, very close to) spillage.
Smart design makes the connection easy
The Smartflow dry break couplings are available from 1" to 4". As sizes increase, more power is required for the connection and disconnection. Smaller sizes can easily be twisted by hand, while the single/double handle and wheel give enough force for effortless connection of the larger sizes with higher required connection force.
