CIS - CEJN Identification System
The CEJN Identification System (CIS) is a complete solution for managing and ensuring the safety of ultra high-pressure hydraulic hose assemblies. Each hose kit has a unique NFC tag that stores technical data, inspection history, and service information. All data is securely stored in the cloud and can be accessed via the CIS app on mobile devices or with an NFC reader connected to a PC. With GPS tracking and tailored user roles, CIS provides a reliable, efficient, and safety-focused solution for monitoring hose life cycles.
Track, inspect, and maintain high-pressure hose safety with CIS
Working with ultra high-pressure hydraulics involves significant risks, making safety a top priority. With CIS, inspection history, service data, and hose status can be accessed instantly via the app or an NFC reader connected to a PC. Full traceability and secure cloud storage allow organisations and field operators to maintain control of their hose assemblies, ensure timely maintenance, and enhance safety across all operations.
Key benefits of CIS
-
Safety first
Status indicators show instantly whether a hose is safe to use, requires inspection, or should be recycled.
-
Cloud-based access
Store and access all data securely on EU servers, wherever you are.
-
Professional inspection tools
Easily register inspections, pressure tests, and generate certificates.
-
Simple handling
Scan tags with a mobile device or PC to get immediate information.
-
Custom user roles
Provide secure access for CEJN, customers, and third-party testers.

How CIS works
CIS uses NFC technology to securely store all hose kit information on a tag placed between two layers of durable plastic. When scanned with the CIS app on a mobile device or with an NFC reader connected to a PC, the tag instantly displays all relevant data, including the latest pressure test, inspection history, and current status. Status indicators provide clear guidance on the hose status.
All information is stored securely in the cloud on EU servers, enabling the creation of pressure test certificates and the planning of maintenance. CIS also supports GPS tracking, allowing organisations to see the location of their hoses (last inspected location) and maintain full control over their high-pressure hose assemblies.
Instant safety feedback
When a CIS tag is scanned, colour indicators instantly show whether a hose is ready for use, needs inspection, or must be taken out of service:
Green: Safe to use
Yellow: Pressure inspection required
Red: Do not use – recycle

Roles and access levels
CIS provides tailored user roles to ensure the right level of access for different stakeholders:
Creator (CEJN hose workshops) – Registers new hoses and fittings in the system and manages customer information.
Pro User (end user) – Reads hose status, registers inspections, and updates hose information after pressure tests.
Pro Service (testing company) – Updates safety-related information without owning the hose or its historical data, keeping safety information current and reliable.
These roles ensure that all users have appropriate access while maintaining the integrity and security of hose data throughout its lifecycle.
Certified assembly by your local CEJN High-Pressure Centre
The CEJN High-Pressure Centres are located around the world for closer proximity to our markets and are all staffed by certified application experts. Each centre features a hose crimping facility that assembles high-pressure hose kits to customer specifications. Every set is checked and measured before delivery for safety and performance to eliminate any risk of failure.
Configure a high-pressure hydraulic hose kit
Configure and order hydraulic hose assemblies with the easy-to-use hose configurator for ultra high-pressure hydraulic hose kits. With the configurator you can easily specify hose fittings, hydraulic quick couplings, nipples and accessories according to your specifications.
