Blind-Mate No Spill Coupling for Thermal Control

Blind-Mate No Spill Coupling for Thermal Control

DLC is a specially designed liquid cooling product for use in industrial thermal management systems for data centres, power electronics, digital broadcasting/tele- communications equipment, medical equipment and radar equipment.

Fits existing solution
The custom-made blind-mate coupling, DLC with DN5, was designed for a thermal management application that required an optimized product for spill-free connection and disconnection. DLC was designed to fit an existing setup where the seals needed to remain intact during connection and disconnection under pressure and within a temperature range of -40° to +80° Celsius (-40° to 176° Fahrenheit).

Server racks pile CEJNUnique design with NBR seal
With working temperatures as low as -40° Celsius (-40° Fahrenheit), CEJN engineers started to look into new sealing materials and quickly realized that a special low temperature seal possessing the characteristics demanded by the application was needed. Together with the seal vendor we developed a special NBR compound. This seal, combined with a unique product design, protects the sealing elements from damage, a common problem with standard solutions. It is also possible to connect and disconnect at pressures of up to 10 bar. DLC is able to guarantee the customer a completely tight joint.

Spill-free & self-aligning
Engineers gave the product a self-aligning feature, enabling blind connection, and combined it with several thread and panel versions. To guarantee a durable and corrosion-free solution, the product is made from hard-anodized aluminium. With its spill-free design, unique construction and NBR seal, DLC is the ultimate solution for the customer’s liquid cooling application, covering each and every demand with outstanding results.
