History

With the rapid industrial development following the war, compressed air was increasingly used as an energy source for pneumatic tools and equipment. This resulted in growing demands for reliable efficient components, such as the need for a convenient, leak-proof method of quickly connecting airlines. Couplings available then were unreliable, awkward to use and very restrictive.

In 1955 Carl Erik Josef Nyberg, (C.E.J.N.), designed and patented a revolutionary quick connect coupling which overcame many of the shortcomings of old designs. It dramatically simplified handling and provided reliable, efficient connections.

This invention became the foundation for a large part of CEJN’s modern range of products as well as the starting point for CEJN’s commercial success of the world market.
